The Future of Trunks Vol VI, Ch. XIII

Ion sunk to his knees gasping for air. Trunks stood still and tall before him. When he could finally
lift his head back up, Trunks kicked him in the collar bone sending him flying backwards. Ion became
buried in rubble as he collided with rocks and boulders. He lay twitching and struggling for air. He cracked
an eye open seeing Trunks slowly make his approach. Ion fired a heavy blast in Trunks’ general direction
and a large ball of fire engulfed him. Ion could see nothing through the flames and smoke.
His face made a small sign of relief, but it was quickly overturned when he saw a silhouette slowly
stepping through the blaze. Trunks emerged from the flames unscathed staring him down in hate. Ion’s
eyes shone with fear. A memory of when he was a small boy replayed in his head. He saw the piercing
image of Vegeta in Trunks’ fire filled eyes, the same look he made just before killing his prey.


I admit this piece was very difficult. I'm not used to drawing smoke, fire, or any other free flowing material such as water or dust. The fire i eventually figured out to just pretend like i was drawing super saiyan hair. The smoke... i have no idea what i was doing.

When i showed this to my husband he actually asked if that was Vegeta he knew it was trunks but that was the exact reaction i was hoping for.
